I've spent much of the last 25 years building high-growth businesses that use new data technologies to deliver new value to users & disrupt markets.
We built Hearby to find all the live music happening nearby. We us AI & anthropology make it fun to discover our diverse local live music scenes & what’s going on in our neighborhoods - we uncover 60% more shows - from arenas to the multitude of smaller, more intimate grassroots venues & local stages.
Founded NetProspex, a platform to help companies manage marketing data quality - acquired by Dun & Bradstreet in 2015.
Prior to Netprospex I was president of Zoominfo [a top IPO in 2020] during Series A stage & prior to that held positions - from sales executive to CEO of a Thomson Reuters business unit.
After graduating in geology from Oxford, spent 5 years prospecting for diamonds in the Kalahari Desert. Built De Beers' first GIS system for mapping & interpreting diamond prospecting results across Botswana. Growing up as a kid in the north of England, I loved wildlife films on TV, so a dream come true -- savannah, antelopes, lions & the amazing people of Botswana.
On returning to the UK, I swerved to became a trainee film producer for a couple of years - working for Geofilms, a small film production company making educational films for geologists & TV science documentaries.
